Thank you, kind sir. Relatively easy to make - jig-sawn out of MDF, the banks are builders' sharp sand scattered into neat PVA. The whoe thing was painted using Dulux Matchpots paint, Lapis Blue for the water and "Mud Hut" for the banks. Areas of weed sketched in with Forest Green and the water given two coats (so far) of gloss varnish. Banks dry-brushed with pale grey.

To do - patchy flocking of the banks with Pendraken spring-green scatter material - due any day now. As the units have to travel to and from various conventions I shan't use any super-detailing, it would only get flattened. First stop Cavalier at Tonbridge at the end of February.

Very nice!  I'm quite taken with the tennis courts hiding in the back of that picture as well!

Oer, Matron!

Here they are. Not finished yet - the banks have still to be flocked.

You can actually use decorators' brushes, Nosher, so the paint goes on very quickly.

Left over from the Commissioner's Bungalow scenario, Leon. I work on the "aircraft carrier" priciple, whereby in order to do anything you have to shift something else!

In a vain effort to get anything done, especially with the painting deadline looming, over the last two nights I've put a big push into getting the 1870 guards grenadiers finished; just moustaches and errors to sort, then its on to standards and basing, which should give me the rest of the month on proper entries!

One more day of exams, a quick push to kill the marking, and I'll be set to start working to free the middle east from the infidels; Franks, Ayyubids, and Romans are all heaping up in the mountain box.

Well real life has seriously hampered any meaningful gaming or painting stuff this month :(. However I did find time to base up some more 2mm minis for my Maurice forces for use in the SYW and/or ImagiNations.

FierceKitty

Just a little marking, and I'm off to the 12th century for a few months!
