Now my mother has disappeared back to the Marches, I hope to get a couple of stands of figures finished and entered into the painting competition.

Of late I've been play testing 'Lion Rampant', the new wargames rules from Daniel Mersey. The downside is that I haven't been able to paint anything for a week or so, due to other commitments as well.

Tonight I need to take some pics for the painting competition and post them, as tomorrow is deadline day and I will be working all day and night on a project :(.

Working on medieval armies always has me wanting to parody Coleridge:

Well I did actually manage to take some photos and post them for the painting competition tonight :). Given the very high standards this year I have a snow flake in Hells chance of winning, but it's good to showcase our work every year.

Mine are about to go up, but MAN that's a tough batch of magnificent kit this year!  :o 8)

I think you are being rather hard on yourself Steve - I really like your stuff - and its great to see inter-war German stuff, really unusual.

Production's come to a dead halt this week. I seem to have picked up some kind of splinter in my right thumb. Said member has blown up to include a large lump that wasn't there a while ago. X-Rays can't spot the little devil - apparently they don't register certain types of wood.  I'm just beginning to realise all the things you can't do if you're right-handed and the thumb on that hand is swathed in an extraction dressing. Like painting, model-making, writing etc. But I can type, however.....  ;)

O Dinas Powys

Managed to squeeze in a few hours over the last couple of days to finish the Pendraken elements of my Fungal Forest for the competition!  :D

First painting since October/November IIRC...  :(

Here's hoping for a return to productivity soon  :!!  =)

Cheers!

Thanks for that. I'm assured it's not life-threatening.  ;)

On a course for VSO training prior to in country posting, one of the chaps developed a very sore palm, that over a couple of days became swollen and very red. One day during coffee break he squeezed it (not an easy thing to do) and out popped an inch long splinter!!!

Oh, how incorrectly I read this to start with... :o

I am so glad you were actually, on second (eye-watering) reading, referring to your finger, Ray  :D
