That is a very respectable looking army you have there. Any close-ups?

No, for some reason I didn't take any. Too busy trying to get everything in one shot. I'll see if I can crop some of the photos to get more detail.

Spearmen

GW on the left, MM on the right

Horse Archers

TB Line - not really finished

Cavalry & Elephants

Mostly TB Line, the nearer elephants are MM, wizards are GW

Guns

Pendraken (yeah!!) Janisarry canons, handgunners, mortars, and seige guns

Paul, you are right about the basing been rather inconsistent but I think I will lighten the dark edges (which will be laser cut edges) rather than darken the others.

I was tossing up which to suggest, I went with the majority ;) Light edges will look good :)

Hello

Very nice looking Araby army. Like the idea of using Janissaries for the firearm troops. I was thinking of using the Afghan types but will have a look at the Turks now.

Cheers

The Afghans look good - I'm tempted to add some now.

Warmaster Fantasy - Araby

"Araby is one of those lands in the world of Warhammer that always seemed to be talked about but never received the full army treatment for the 28mm miniatures game. However, Warmaster took care of that for 10mm, making Araby an official expansion army."

Ah. Thief of Baghdad vs Aladdin part III, is it? Valentino galloping off into the souk with Fairbanks over his pommel?

Now that is one mean and tasty looking bunch of little chaps. The close up's/crops work a treat.

Given it's meant to be fighting the likes of Orcs, Chaos Warriors and Undead I'd be concerned if it was an accurate representation of the armies of the Mamluk Sultanate or something similar :)

Very nicely painted  army though.

Indeed - the flying carpets should be the give a way that it's a fantasy army. Most of GW's human armies are based on a historical theme / period, though  usually this is only a base and lots of twists are added to this, as well as the overt fantasy elements. But for a gamer this is a good thing as you can use lots of historical troops to bulk out your army.

Ta.

Started work on some more knights last night. Going for black and orange like the spearmen - they look a bit dark at the minute.
