The gribbles look really good Forbes.

Araby Army

As my Araby army has been used in the last few battles, and I have started work on some more TB units for them, I thought it would be good to get all the troops together, so see what I have, and what I have still to add.

The army is a mix of manufacturers, GW, TB Line, Magister Militum and Pendraken.

The Pendraken Turks, with black powder weapons are closest to the camera.

In the to paint pile, are a few more foot archers, lots of horse archers, camels and knights.

A very impressive army :)

One small suggestion, an hour spent dark edging all the bases that aren't would really pull the basing together

If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Fred, you have a really lovely army.

Splendid , Forbes !!  :-bd

Thanks chaps.

Paul, you are right about the basing been rather inconsistent but I think I will lighten the dark edges (which will be laser cut edges) rather than darken the others.

No, for some reason I didn't take any. Too busy trying to get everything in one shot. I'll see if I can crop some of the photos to get more detail.

Some crops of the photos to show some more details - not the best pictures I'm afraid.

Spearmen

GW on the left, MM on the right

Horse Archers

TB Line - not really finished

Cavalry & Elephants

Mostly TB Line, the nearer elephants are MM, wizards are GW

Guns

Pendraken (yeah!!) Janisarry canons, handgunners, mortars, and seige guns

I was tossing up which to suggest, I went with the majority ;) Light edges will look good :)

Hello

Very nice looking Araby army. Like the idea of using Janissaries for the firearm troops. I was thinking of using the Afghan types but will have a look at the Turks now.

Cheers

The Afghans look good - I'm tempted to add some now.
