I agree female chives also add something a little different.

You been watching  The Herbs again?
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Classic series!

And nothing to do with smoking herbs either...
You may refer to me as: Your Grace, Duke Speedy of Leighton.

Sorry I definitely had a blonde momment and posted some generic medieval peasant pics rather than Mongol ones.

Yes, Craig, I think we're talking hunter gatherers here. Still, I have to thank you for a moment of imagining a Mongol treading the grape harvest.

What about a Mongol civilian in T-shirt and jeans?

Behind the good-looking bird, there's a dinky cart that needs to see the tabletop:

That what-you-call-it I posted previously:

And don't miss the opportunity of sculpting some of these:

From the look on the old bloke in the red hat's face, the young chap on the right has put a little too much effort and strain into his Pre-bout gurning... :o
(I know, even though it's fantasy  :o  ;)  )

Do you think the guy  with the blue  hat is always as the front in case he slips and slides forward in the mud?

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Next question.
The standards ?

There seem to be a number of possible variants here.

My choices seem to be.

A)......A horse hair type, as favoured by Genghis himself.
B )......Largish 'triangular'.
C)......Largish (Very large really !)....Almost square shape.
D)......Just a straight 'pole', so you guys can 'do your own thing' with a paper flag.

Thoughts folks ?.....And I'll obviously also be guided by Leon here.
From a completely selfish point of view, I like 'D'....as it'll be a lot quicker ! ;) ;D
Second choice for me would be 'A'.....But I'll go with the flow.  ;)
