Some new ECW mounted command would be nice. I painted up the 2 lobsterhead poses last night and they need some work. The horses aren't even the same size as the Cav w/helmet.

It would also be nice to have another general or 2 and another officer or 2. Possibly, some personalities, or a dog to make a Rupert command base. :)

Keep up the awesome work Leon!

Seconded. The lobsterheads are too small and cleary need some work. A couple of new generals would be very welcome as well.

Sorry to be an ignoramus (yet again) :-[....What sort of dog ?
I'm trying to make a generic canine dolly, which can be used to make some different breeds if required.
Cheers - Phil.

A poodle - there are a few woodcuts but no painting to be sure what he (Boy) looked like.

Just to clarify further - Boy was a FULL SIZED poodle, one of the BIG ones.

He was apparently a VERY large poodle, think hunting dog rather than lapdog.

Thanks Edward....
And Ian and Gordon who've posted while I was typing
I might try making a couple more 'dollies' of differing sizes...Depending how the MkII goes.
Mk I dolly was way too big.

I'm doing these 'for fun' rather than anything else though, so it might be a little while. ;)
Trying a Doberman size one first.

:-\....Aha !...From what's been mentioned THAT might just be OK with some tweaks on a metal master
If Leon wants to produce a few, he'll be more than welcome to them.
Cheers - Phil.

He was a HUGE poodle, he was. Rupert rode on his back when he crossed the Andes. Sadly, Boy died with the coastline in sight.

Generations of Indians have worn poodle hair coats in winter, called boychos. :>

Boy is even celebrated on the Feast of Saint Pancreas.

They all dress up as Rupert and ride colorful papier-mâché poodles.

Some are quite elaborate.

It's something which is on our radar as well, so I'd expect all of the cavalry to be replaced at some point in the reasonably near future.

Thanks Leon,

So should I just use what I have or can I delay using the command in the hopes of having new ones in time for the Con, the first weekend in Nov?

Cheers!

Nothing that quick I'm afraid!  We'd be looking in the next 12 months or so I'd think.

There was a great feature on that Rupert Parade in Reader's Finest magazine, I think in January 2009.
