Did it really have medical facilities that could be quickly activated if  needed?  Such as HMS Argus had.

Just as well they did! Although, they were not 'meant' to carry fast jets, they  ended up being pretty useful... at least ONCE! lol.  Just maybe, the Navy actually had learned from 'other nations' 'strategic planning' in the 'Washington Treaty' years, pre-WW2? Or Not..
