Thanks chaps - I've enjoyed painting these figures.

I've just updated my WWI thread over on LAF, and seen it was summer 2014 last time I painted WWI stuff...

Added some highlights to the bases, and some water effects (that isn't quite dry yet!) and matt varnished the figures. I think these are done now. Which gives 16 stands of infantry, 4 MGs, 2 mortars and a HQ, which is a full GWSH Brigade at 1 stand = 1 company. And on the left a few Divisional level heavy mortars.

Up next some Renaissance Cavalry

Played Irregular Wars again on Friday - 4 commands a side, battle was a bit big, and we chatted too much to reach a conclusion. But our group is really liking these rules.

Have some photos of the last few games but need to sort them out.



Got a bit of painting done this afternoon - the Renaissance cavalry - mainly just blocking in the horse colours and a bit of a start on some of the riders. I'm finding I'm a bit unsure of colours for this era.

Steel/gunmetal, then couple of coats of watery black wash...
