I think I picked that up from somewhere on the forum. Some genuine advice on what to do in 'Countries with low English skills', but it didn't involve shouting. It could apply to England too, if you like that idea.

No Wales, and the US.

Saw these last night - very nice. Should be a fantastic diorama once it all comes together - Weta Workshop are doing the terrain.

Game I went to today in Wellington was not bad either - England got 309 but the Sri Lankan top order put the English bowling to the sword and got home fairly comfortably in the end. Great to be able to go and see live international games as part of CWC 15.

I owe Mrs Shy some brownie points as she got the tickets for free 8)

Beda Fomm SH game was reasonably close, the 2nd Bttn Rifle Brigade did well - seeing off three major Italian attacks (with the help of some friends and some really bad dice rolls by the Italians)  ;) Our M13/40's did manage to gain some measure of revenge by shooting up several MkVIb's that got a bit too adventurous.

Well done Mrs Shy :-bd
Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

2RB was starting to get rather thin, had already had to commit one carrier platoon in a unsuccessful local counter attack and at least two more carrier platoons we're going to have to go in next turn or the Italian infantry would be assaulting the 25pdrs of 4RHA :o

7 Hussars, in particular, had lost a lot of Light Mk VI :( This had nothing to do with them redeploying behind that ridge ;)

Made good progress on the 54mm figures, 10 kneeling firing Turks :)

All the main uniform colours, including hats and puttees, done. Started flesh, got three done before I ran out of time :) :)

Need some pic, Paul.  :)

Beda Fomm or 54mm?

I've made good progress on this batch, all colours apart from 'black' for the hair and moustaches done  :)

Will do them tonight then start the touch ups, definitely needed on these toys larger figures ;)

Curious,  have you been given certain colours / brands of paint to use?

Yes, they have put together painting guides with a couple of example figures plus details on the Citidal paints to use. They have also provided a conversion chart to various other brands. I am mainly using Vallejo and had most of the colours already.

Paint stockist are struggling to keep up despite ordering triple their normal stock levels  :o

We are also being encouraged to add some variety as uniforms were not particularly uniform on both sides ;)

I do not envy the team from Weta Workshop that will be sorting all these figures out and installing them on the diorama, all 4,000 of them

I'm still trying to imagine how you sort 4,000 figures that have been painted by over 100 painters into the various poses  :-\

Once you have done that you need to install them on the diorama mixing the figures so that the various painters work "blends" together within each group and overall  :-/ :-S :-SS

While working to the tight deadlines and exacting standards set by Peter Jackson :!! :!! :!!
