The figures are designed for a number of carefully planed scenes on a recreation of the actual battlefield based on maps of the time.

They are keeping the details a bit quiet but apparently it will be 10m long...

Shame it's not a game board  ;)

Made good progress last night  :)

Finished all the touch ups :)

Have done the flesh wash this morning  :)

I have 25 to paint so far, 5 finished, 10 being washed today, and 10 about to be started (actually 9 as one is missing an arm, organisers trying to track it down)

24 days left, I may get another batch but that depends on logistics and the organisers headed by the former NZ Chief of Defence, who is also a wargamer  ;)

Not sure if they are my last that depends on what is left to paint and where the organisers decide to send it
I suspect being in Wellington gives me a slightly higher chance of getting one more batch as the logistics are simpler ;)

9 base coated yesterday afternoon and main uniform colour done last night  :)
Did darker trousers and hats for half of them before leaving for work this morning  :)

There seems to be an air of "phew" developing with this project.

Still enjoying it  :)

But I can hear my 10mm 1917 and AWI projects calling ;)

Also being distracted by planning 1/4,800 Napoleonic naval ;D

Did the rifle stocks last night and about to start the leather...

Wondering if I will get my missing arm and/or another batch, 17 days to go  :-SS

They have started assembling the exhibit that the diorama will be part of http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/67166106/crane-lifts-tank-bus-and-gun-into-wellington-exhibition

Done the hair and had a "it's all worth it" moment when doing the moustaches and eyebrows  :) :D :D

Interesting how much personality moustache and eyebrows can give a figure (remember they are 54mm) ;)

Also done the Gunmetal Grey on the rifle so starting to get into the detailing which is rewarding  :D

I have really got a grip on these figures now  ;D
