fred.

Thanks chaps.

Too much 1:1 scale painting this weekend, but did get to make some rocky outcrops

In the raw foam

With some paint

Not quite sure what the next step is. I'd like these to be dual purpose for both desert and more temperate games. Thinking some tufts and a bit of flock on the bases. Don't know if the brown is still a bit dark?

They look cool Fred.

Maybe just some yellow (dry grass) tufts around the base?

+1....They don't look too dark, in the photo, Forbes. (For me, anyway.)

Thanks chaps, glad to know I'm on the right lines.

While looking for tufts last night, I found various small gravel, so have addd quite a bit of that.

I think I still need a bit of flock on the edges, to break up the circular shape a bit.

How about a lone, gnarled, spindly tree clutching precariously to existence atop the rocky crag?

Looking good though.

Got the rock areas finished tonight.  Added some pale flock around the edges, and stuck some felt on the bottoms. As the CDs are super shiney and slide around very easily (perhaps not helped by them having warped slightly)

Thanks chaps. These are another project that I've been putting off for ages, then once I've sat down and got started its only taken a short time to get it finished. And will give some handy areas of impassable terrain.

Terrific looking rocky terrain. I remember the Dells. Their music was rubbish. Best use for their CDs.
