What basing material do you use on 6mm?

Basing wise - for the nids I've just used sand with dark brown paint, and a few tufts.

The squats use wood filler, highlighted quite a lot with a medium amount of flock. And I think something similar for the marines! But as most of my marine infantry already came based they are more of a mix.

Had some time to add flags to the 5 regiments that I have painted and based:


We have left to right, Tyrconnel's horse, Earl of Antrim's, King James' Guards, Dutch Garde to Voet, and Meloniere's regiment.
The Earl of Antrim's was intended to be Regiment Boisseleau - but I don't have flags for them





Still need to colour the edges of a few flags, but wanted to get photos done while there was still some daylight.

Got the next regiment pretty much finished on the painting front last night, an Irish regiment without uniforms, and some what short of firearms too
