Thanks chaps. The Irish regiment is looking god now it's done it did feel like a lot of effort to mix and match different colours for jackets, facings and to a degree headgear.

Next up are some artillery and commanders - but I need to break them down into colour groups to make the painting a bit more practicalble.

But first my aim is to clear the bits and bobs of my painting desk; some Lizardmen mages, some squat support weapons, some space marines and a Minotaur standard bearer. All of which need very little work to finish.

Isn't it just! It seems to be bits from various projects that didn't get finished, and it would be good to get them out the way, so that I can move onto the next thing.

Tidying Up!

Got a bit of detailing on the Lizardmen Mages, and lots of basing done.

Lizardmen mages, from the Warband pack. At the back Squat support weapons, Rapiers and Tarantulas (two designs). In front some Banana Marine Terminators and Scout snipers.

Also got the LoA Irish Regt based, but they are still drying.

More lizards, good.

There will need to be a big jungle basing session soon, lots of lizards on plain bases at the minute.

Mini Epic - Tyranids vs Marines

Game 2 of our new cut down epic rules - it went pretty well, and led to another major deletion of rules around the Fire Fights, mainly as the ability to FF many times in a turn seemed far too good. So FF has gone as a concept, you can have short range shooting in an Assault, using FF values. Or you can do short range shooting using FF values.

Anyway lots of photos

At the start of the game, the 'Nids are attacking out of some toxic cloud that gives them cover, the red Marines are trying to survive!

The 'nids surge forward into cover

The marines make use of their mobility to air-land and teleport in on the Nid's rear, breaking the Dactalyis artillery formation

I kept plowing forwards, here a formation of assault marines has just been eaten, and the snipers are looking worried. In the centre the noose tightens

End game - Trygon swarm has erupted from tunnels to the rear of the Marines, and eaten lots of them. In the buildings the large swarm has smashed many marines there too. In my rear the air landed troops have messed with my artillery support, but its taken them quite a lot of time to do this.

For those of you who asked about the rules the other week, I'll send out some PMs.
