Right All...

First of all....Not absolutely sure which section of the forum this really needs to go in..... :-\
Sooooo.....If there's a more appropriate area...I'll ask if Leon would move it there. ;)

Now.
I'm making inroads into the wee chaps as I plonk.....But there are a few (maybe more, maybe lots of) codes, I think it would be worth getting some feedback on, to see what folk are hoping for.

I'll only query one code at a time.....Otherwise the thread will start getting a bit too messy. ( HAH !!!!....NO change for us then !!  ;) ;D ;D)

So first....as it will be one of the easier and quicker codes to sculpt.....
Your thoughts, Ladies and Gents (and piccies where possible please) for the generic civilians.

I'm imagining that the thought behind these is that they could be used for almost any era as 'peasant' types, and though they'd be primarily destined for the Mongol range, they would prove useful additions to whatever is fancied.

Hope that all makes sense !
Over to you then. ;)

Cheers - Phil.

Have a look at the film Mongol Phil. Lots of 'civvies' in it  may give you some ideas..but women and children would be nice for raiding for slaves type games
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Long haired generic Asiatic types that could be used all the way through would be the best long term iinvestment for da boyz,
However, Mongolia fashions are, well very different to chinese and Japanese peasent wear, more layers and fur for a start!

I'd guess Techno would like ideas for the pose as well as the clothing/appearance. I'm assuming they would be part of a battle scenario.
Would they be tilling the land or attending a market with a battle raging? Fleeing for their very lives? Clapped in manacles? Watching/cheering the proceedings? Marching off in refugee columns? etc
Sadly no longer with us - RIP (2018)

That pic's interesting, I think I was expecting something more 'furry':

Yes, that picture is more my idea of Mongol civilians. The ones Craig posted look like Western late medieval or early renaissance period to me and are largely engaged in activities I'd not associate with the Mongols.

Not (currently!) intending to collect Mongols but if I were I'd be looking for figures standing/ walking/ riding to act as camp followers or scenario objectives.

How about 2 in Mongolian fur hats, 2 bare-headed or with pony / pig-tails and one with a skull cap

A couple of them on the plump side

At least 2 females

Wouldn't the Mongolian civilians look pretty much the same as the Mongol warriors, but with out weapons?

Some modern reconstructions of traditional dress

Not sure the mobile phone is an accurate accessory  :)

OK Techno, how's your sculpting of eagles? :)

If you want to include captives, maybe something a bit less advanced:

Water is indeed the essential ingredient of life, because without water you can't make coffee!

Sorry I definitely had a blonde momment and posted some generic medieval peasant pics rather than Mongol ones.

For my part Mongol horse handler would be a nice touch, and maybe a blacksmith or similar working at an anvil? Something with a bit of character that can be used on a camp base. I agree female chives also add something a little different.
