No - proper Bourbon is almost as good as a single malt, and MUCH better that any Scotch blend.

Care to read, of course only if it is not too much trouble, my views on alcohol.

As a German, and I am sure most of the Forum mebers are British and aware of both me being an alien and how specific Germans are when it comes to alcoholic beverages,  I do pride myself in sampling different tastes.

As a beer there is nothing better than the attempt of the local Stewart brewery at German Hefeweizen. For the daily "wash" I go for Foster's and the occasional Innis and Gunn. For stronger beverages I strongly advocate Malt ONLY! My favourites are Cragganmore, Talisker and Miltonduff.

Although I have experience with Gin, Vodka, Cherry and others I will always come back to bonny Scotland's produce.

I even developed the theory that this is the only reason why the English refuse Scotland independence. Well that AND the enourmous tax contributions.

For my daily wash, that'l be eristoff black

Yep - absolutely agree with you, Ian  

And yes to you all on whisky: to quote (again) a great line from Whitechapel (DS Mills), when suggesting that his boss (DCI Chandler) apologises to him, "I like Single Malts, none of that blended sh*t"
