Finished these today - about 1250 points of Wood Elves for Warmaster (based on slightly larger bases: 50x25mm)

If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Almost, Craig, almost  :) Probably (wasn't really paying attention) a total of about 2 hours pre-wash - something like that...

I know - will definitely need more woods, especially with the Wood Elves special rule that lets you bung extra woods down on your table side...

Painting Notes:

Everything Vallejo...

Bases: Beasty Brown => Leather Brown => Plague Brown
Overbrush everything: Beasty Brown

Warhawk: Leather Brown => Plague Brown => Khaki => Bone White; Cold Grey => Bone White

Dryads: Leather Brown => Khaki => Bone White

Cloth: Cayman Green => Cayman Green + White; Camo Green => Camo Green + White

Detail (cloth, spear shafts, horses, barding, helmets, shields, weapons): Khaki / Plague Brown / Dead White / Shining Gold / Mithril Silver / Elf Fleshtone

Wilko's 5 Year Woodstain: Rustic Oak (Satin) - brushed on to everything (undiluted)

Bases: superglued static grass, drybrush Bone White & then Plague Brown; base edges: Flat Earth
Spray varnish: Army Painter Matt

Done - simples  8)

And I thought I was doing well in getting some more of my DB Saxons done tonight :(

They do look great Nik so am now awaiting their first outing against the Gobbos :).

Well, I've got the day off tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get these into action at some point... :)

An Eagle rider with with his feet showing out the back of his cloak so it looks like he's kneeling on the eagles back would be good maybe

Hehe, I think Jenna glued that one together back when she was doing the pics.  I'll have to go grab one now to see what it looks like in front of the wings...   :-\
