What about a new Pyrrhic range to go with the Republican Romans and Carthaginians? 
A decent phalangite / Macedonian range (including Hoplites and all that stuff..two birds with one stone so to say) would have a lot of advatages, as you can build a lot of armies with them and the look of a 10mm phalanx is certainly grand. Plus, the topic is fairly popular as far as i can judge this.

So any plans on this? If I were to chose the next candidate for an ancients range, this would be my (quite obvious) choice.

I will second that request. No cast on pike though please and I would want a pose with the phalangite holding the pike upwards and straight up (not to the side or leaning forward etc.). I know in reality when the pike was held up it signalled surrender but this is wargaming! 

You can do so many armies with a generic Successors range.

As the pike is NOT going to be cast as part of the model.....(Which makes a lot of sense as it would be be a complete pain to cast....AND it would become bent SO quickly.)
Would you guys prefer an 'open hand' pose...That you attach your piece of brass in to ?

OR....

A closed fist that you'd have to drill through (with a pin vise).... which would LOOK much better in the end...But obviously would be far more time consuming and fiddly from your perspective?

From a totally selfish point of view, I know which one I'd prefer to be asked to make.....But I'll go with 'the flow' when the time comes.

From my point of view, I'd prefer open handed, although I'm quite happy with cast on pikes in my Medieval armies. If I had to drill it, I probably wouldn't buy it!

Open handed - drilling out would be too much like hard work.

Sorry mate, but I'm also going to say open handed, as IF I was doing this I'm too cack handed to drill straight at 15 or 28mm, I would just demolish 10mm (just to prove it, I but my own hand whilst slicing up house points for a maths set today)!

The Alexandrian/Diadochi/Successors (Macedonians, Seleucids, Ptolemaic Egypt, etc) is a great idea.

They are highly 'morphable' troops and armies.

Mix in some Hoplites and you extend the range possibilities even wider.

Open hands please.  Presumable Pendraken will also supply the pikes?  (if so, steel is good but don't make 'em sharp).

And also the upright pose is essential (even if you offer 'lowered' options).

In terms of Ancients gaming, Alexander's Empire offers far greater scope than Rome.  Most of Rome's enemies were basically the same - iron age warbands.

Alexander and his Successors fought Rome, Rome's enemies, and all manner of other wierd and interesting armies across the Setppe, Mesopotamia and into India.
I've always felt if a figures manufacturer had to start somewhere, its the Successor rather than Rome.
