On Sunday, I was pondering my next project (after the Austrians, Poles and Russians are finished) and I had bought some 1842 Danes with a thought of them being a proxy for 1813 Danes.

Hmmm. Crimson red rather than bright red, says the source. Time to get out the "Cutthroat Red" from Green Stuff. New company to me, new shade.

Shook up the bottle, as one does. Went to drip a few drops onto the palette. Sploosh! Cuththroat red projectile vomit from the bottle as the nozzle flew out. Went over everything - the cutting mat, the wall, the storage units - everything bar the Danes.  :-[

I was getting worried that I didn't have any Pendraken projects left until either the Amazons or the Spanish Napoleonics or the Cold War range or the Arab-Israeli foot turns up* - or the book I ordered on the Ottoman Army arrives*** and I can plan for that.

Fortunately, the brave Danes have stepped in and their force from the 1813 Battle of Sehested is my new project.

Only thing is, I haven't decided whether they should have grey or blue trousers. 



I'm thinking blue, so they don't look too like the Brits of the same era.

Nearly running out of projects - that would have been mighty careless! Although does suggest plenty of painting has been ongoing. 

For the Danes blue trousers sounds good
