New Medieval codes!

We're into Day 6 of our '10 Days of 10mm' and today we're heading back to the Medieval period to add some knights in bascinet helmets (pig-faced/dog-faced) along with a handy monk and nun figure as well.  Thanks to fsn for commissioning these!

In Andy Hamilton's rather excellent Old Harry's Game, there is one scene where Scumspawn describes Satan liking The Sound of Music, although in his version the nuns hand the family over to the Nazis, and the tone of "Climb Every Mountain" is rather changed when sang by the German stormtroopers . . .

Oh so little imagination.

  • Objectives - Norsemen kill those monks
  • Medics - troops of nuns giving first aid to causlties and acting as casualty clearing stations
  • Morale boosters - a troop of nuns giving your troops a bit of a Te Deum from the hillside
  • Scenery - someone to stand outside those churches
  • Information sources - for discovery type games
  • Building up a retinue - add a monk to your command base
  • Resistance - either by shutting the doors to that stratgically placed nunnery  or placing themselves at the head of that horde of peasants who have just had about as much as they can take

Oh those knights are rather nice 8) . I only need a few for a project so perfect timing really. Looking forward to seeing what the Italians are getting too!
