One of the lesser-known perks of having a laser machine is the ability to knock up some flanges whenever you want...!  We had some gaps around the roof joists that were a bit big for mesh/plaster/filler so we got our 2D guy to make us some handy flanges to sit over the joists and around the metal roof beam as well.

I didn't manage to get the two coats done today but one coat and the second batch of edging is done.

We had some good news today as the landlords have agreed that we don't need to get the gas safety certificate as we've never used the heater, so that's £250 saved!  

And another 35 orders went out so more progress on the outstanding pile!

Over at the old unit Adele got the floor all painted and rather shiny it looks too!  The last thing to do here is replace the strip lights, so once that's done on Thursday we're all set for handing the keys back at midday on Friday.

We've been getting on with another few odd jobs today, including putting the insulation on top of the office roof.  Never a fun job dealing with this stuff but that's half of it done and it'll be easy enough to finish this off tomorrow.  The circular hole you can see in the roof is where the old heating unit flue went through, so we had a local roofing company out on Tuesday to fix that for us properly.

The old place is looking very swish, good news on the  gas safety certificate 

"Cleveland House" so I take it you weren't too enamoured with all the tasteful suggestions made for the building name elsewhere? 

"Cleveland House" .... how many delivery drivers will go right past, looking for a Victorian mansion?

All looking good and Cleveland House is a good solid name .... though it lacks the panache of Worky McWorkshop

'Bout time someone changed the 'contact details' on the Pendraken Miniatures 'shop' site. 

Von wants to change the details on the invoices begging letters we send.

I really liked some of the suggestions, Centurion House and Vulcan House were my favourites.  But when we did some more digging through the paperwork we found Cleveland House on an old energy survey and it was still showing on the council database.  It's a pain getting names changed so we figured it was easiest to leave it in place rather than faff about trying to get it altered.

yeah...     We've got a gremlin in the website somewhere and it won't let me update the address/Contact info on there.  I've emailed the webguy to ask him to sort that.

Noticed my last order had the address crossed out on the free spider catcher flyer.

We've got all of the strip lights replaced at the old place so that's it all complete now and ready to hand back.  End of an era there but we're moving on to bigger things now!

And we also spent an hour or so with the scaffolding tower getting the workshop wall plasterboard skimmed and sealed, ready for painting early next week hopefully.
