I love how sharp your black lining is and your highlights, really makes the details pop. How long do you take to paint figures in general?

That's some of the cleanest/neatest painting I've ever seen.....even at the one true scale.
Genuinely impressed...I mean that.

Only drawback is that I hate you.....'cos the pic is about 10 times sharper than the photos I send that nice Mr Leon.

Great work, indeed! The detail is very good with clean lines. I'm also currently painting Pendraken AWI figures and wish I had your skill and speed. I really like the way you've done the hunting shirts. I compared my own officer with yours and I'm quite chuffed to say my own effort looks as if it could stand alongside yours. But it has to be said my officer got extra special attention (my rank and file are probably not as good). I like the colour you used for the breeches - what colour was that? Going by the sources I've looked at, I would probably have chosen a darker blue for the coats (in fact, I did) - also, I'm not sure, but going by the thickness of their legs below the knee, it looks as if the loading figures may have half-gaiters so you might want to look at these again. Overall; superb (do you take commissions?). Expecting you to enter the Painting Competition.

Westmarcher - thanks thats some interesting points. Half gaiters.  You may be right! Just in time before i do my Virginians :)

Re the Blue coats - i agree on them being probably darker. The picture slightly lightens them but also in this scale i think it helps to make things a bit brighter and the contrasts starker otherwise the colours get a bit lost. I would certainly paint them darker in 28mm.

The breeches were both foundry triads - white and buff. Though i used vallejo ivory rather than pure white for the highlights

Sorry I don't do commissions - i paint at the speed of a lazy glacier :)

Been thinking about getting a new mobile for a while. Should really have one in the car for emergencies.

Mobile signal at home, and close to home, is next to non existent....though I assume I could use the wi-fi hub to get around that, nowadays. :-\

Yeh I use my mobile off the wifi at home and it works well,  just needed to enable a setting to make it work

That sounds right  :).....I had to plonk in the hub's ID into the tablet, before I could get that to work......(That was after an awful lot of swearing......."Which frigging ID are you after......I don't frigging know !! You piece of electronic poop........I wouldn't be without the tablet, now.....Worth its weight in gold, as far as I'm concerned. )
