Le Carré; a sad loss.
It felt like he might last forever, he seemed so vivid still in his interviews and his writing.

Nice that Frank Gardner, who, like David Cornwell used to, claims he was definitely never in SIS, wrote the analysis on him.

Off to read Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy again - first read it on a train home from university in 1975.

Great TV series. Great film. Better book.

Steve J

A good innings and a sad loss, as the tv series was a seminal piece of television and, as you say, the books even better. Also his books turned into films in the '60's sere great too.

Techno II

Seconded.  :(

Cheers - Phil.

Too young again but he had had his fair share of heart problems over the years. Still a sad loss.
