I was lucky enough to hear him give a keynote address in person, a fascinating man

He also played a recording of him trying to recover a test aircraft from a spin:

• passing through 25 (,000ft) trying x, no response
• passing through 20 (,000ft) trying y, no response
• passing through 15 (,000ft) trying z, no response
• passing through 10 (,000ft) trying a, no response
• passing through 5 (,000ft) trying b,recovered

Sounded incredibly calm and collected throughout

His comment after playing the recording, "nothing focuses the mind as much as the rapid approach of the ground"

Yeah, no, that's not what I meant, and I certainly didn't mean they were bad films just because of her presence.

It just seemed that she was in the not very good ones - generally set in "the present", rather than the best ones (Screaming, Up the Khyber, Cleo).
