We have double glazing but it's been so hot we've had the windows open all night. Plus I'm a very light sleeper!

Wow! We've just had a torrential deluge that within minutes was raining so hard it hard overwhelmed the gutters and drains on the road. It probably only lasted 10 minutes, but in that time you couldn't get to the front door due to a few inches of water that extended 6' from the front door. Luckily it all drained away really quickly and now you would barely know it had happened.

Yes we had the same.  Had just started taking a tree down in the garden, Got all tools out and down it came.

electric chainsaws and rain do not mix.  :(

So now I will have to sit in my Den and Paint.  :)

Honeywell "Howard Leight" Laserlite ear plugs - with literally no soundproofing between upper and lower maisonettes here, and two small children upstairs, I'd never get a full night's sleep without them.

We have neighbours who like to bang and stomp about at all hours - got one of those big stand fans and the noise of it covers anything they do, plus gives us a nice cool breeze!

Ring the police and tell them that drugs are being dealt.  That will get their attention.

I've heard of that one, "Find That Chicken!". Wasn't it the low budget spin off tie in game of Stop That Pigeon of Dastardly and Mutley fame?

I'll leave it up to you to decide which you are and which Von is...

I played "find that chicken yesterday".

It was in the oven.

I know I'm almost completely 'out of the loop' as regards the wargames industry......apart from the few folk I make wee men for......But when did Games Workshop get 'bought out' by an investment company ?

Does this 'firm'  (BlackRock Throgmorton.) own all of GW now..or just a part of it ? :-\

You'd have to check with your not to distant neighbours Companies House to find out that info Phil. I thought the retail outlets were francises though, in which case no.  ;)

You may well be right, Ian....I'd not heard of that either, though.
Could make sense with the 'overseas outlets' ? :-\

Going back to the year dot, when I worked for them......I'm sure all the 'shops' were under the GW 'umbrella'.

Cheers - Phil
