No rain at all and the hottest night I can remember for some 25 years or so; didn't even need a sheet to cover me all night. 26c in the hallway at 6.00am this morning, so probably touching 30c upstairs. Apparently it might get above 34c somewhere in the UK today, which will be the 6th day in a row that that's happened!

Uh-oh !

I'm starting to see some blue sky, in amongst the cloud cloud layer.....as long as it's NOT as hot as yesterday.

Hard to tell as I've got a headache already from the heat and it's due to be hotter here today than yesterday!!! We might get some thunderstorms but the overnight temperature is, again, due to be higher than last night :'(.

We're actually getting reasonably pleasant weather for a change. My sister in England is having the heat, my brother in Scotland the thunderstorms and here in NI we've a clear day in the low twenties and a gentle breeze.

I'm in the office today - air conditioning is a wonderful thing . . .

Might come back tonight with an air mattress and sleep here  ;)

Hot and sunny here. I fear we will pay for it later with more thunder, lighting and torrents of rain.

You could cut the atmosphere with a knife here and we're all praying it might rain tonight to possibly alleviate some of the heat and humidity.

Two storms bypassed us, but at least the pre-storm breeze cooled things down a bit, making it just about bearable. Still forecast for thunderstorm to hit us tonight...

Lord Kermit of Birkenhead

Some rumbles off in the distance last night, a sky promising heavy weather. and some rain for about 10 mins.

Yes he can !  ;)

Wasn't too bad yesterday...Hot and humid, but not AS bad as Tuesday...Disconnected the PC from the line late yesterday afternoon, when there were 'rumbles' about....But we seem to have got bypassed by just about everything.

I don't think we even had a spot of rain, overnight. A couple of very distant flashes of lightning and that was it.

Some rain in the night but no thunderstorms, or ones that woke us up. A lovely breeze today that is making it much more bearable thank God!

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Only 19 degrees C today, but torrential rain. Soooooo much better!

It IS another bloomin' mouth to feed.

The little (semi-feral) cat has decided that she's (we think it's a young 'she') moved in.....So I now have to buy cat food to keep 'her' happy.
