Actually Nobby, the ones that are marked as plague elementals should be the storm elementals.....The plague ones (wot I already dun) aren't shown there yet.

A lot of the time I work from concept ideas/pics from Leon & Mark.....Other times I let what passes for my brain run riot. ;)

Cheers - Phil :)

Yep, my mistake there!  I've edited the pics now.  I'll need to find his lightning bolt then won't I...!

No. I don't see that. Definitely plague, but storm? ... nah.

Gone off them now.

Where are the Amazons?

I'm afraid that's gone over my head.....Hit the wall with a wet 'splat'......and is slowly sliding towards the floor, Nobby. :-\

Someone explain that one to me ?

(I know, even though it's fantasy  :o  ;)  )

Looking back at the early greens Phil - I think the one on the right is a Plague Elemental and the 2 centre & left are Storm Elementals ... but happy to be told I am wrong.

Either way they are all looking very nice Phil.

I particularly like the Forest Trolls - I plan to stick static grass & lichen and even small trees on mine in patches to give them more of an overgrown woody/mossy look.
NB: did you know that in the 1980s the Danes stuck astroturf on some of their Leopard 1 MBTs - taking camo to a whole new modern level  :D

No, Mark.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The one on the right is a re-interpretation of something from a fairly recent popular TV series.....Which I've only seen a few episodes of....I was given the first series on DVD as a prezzie.
Couldn't get into it......Too much completely irrelevant 'smut'....I never got past the first DVD of 4/5/6....?

The plague 'wossnames' have all got those medieval masks.

My own favourite of those, is the one that is holding the mask away from 'his' face. (The one I couldn't remember.)

If I'd put a hood on the figure....and changed his staff to a scythe.....He'd have made a decent 'Angel of Death'.

The Forrest trolls ?
I had exactly the same thoughts. :)

Cheers - Mr Sicky. ;)

Out of interest (assuming you're allowed to reveal it) are they "high fantasy" Amazons or "vaguely historical" Amazons?

Techno

I'd describe them as vaguely historical, Matthew.....Not what I'd call high fantasy.

(......And they haven't got their 'lungs' out. ;))

Haha good to know, would definitely be interested in that, find a lot of the Amazon models out there tend to be more than a little impractical...  :-\

I'm using some female looking figures from the newish sarmation cavalry for "very historical" amazons in my Trojan war project, but would be fun to do a full army at some point if they fit more into the historical/mythological frame than the 13 year old boy fantasy frame!  ;D

No I mean just look how high that quiver is sitting on her back, there's no way she'd be able to draw arrows from that in any sort of effective way!

I'm still rather hoping for something a bit like the old Runequest box illustration.

... but we've been down this path before ...
