Can anyone have a good guess as to where I might have put the sponge filter out of the cordless vacuum cleaner ?

I took it to bits last night and cleaned all the filters...and when I went to put it back together......There was one filter missing.....which I'm absolutely positive I didn't take out of the cleaner, last night.

I know I cleaned it the LAST time I took it to bits, but .......I obviously didn't put it back in the machine.
I have the most horrible feeling it must have got chucked away a few weeks ago. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Have you checked the fridge? Or the back of the sofa?

I've had to buy some more cleaning materials today.

I had a spray can malfunction. Ended up with something akin to a paint fountain. Managed to get the can back into the spray booth, but I now have beautifully camouflaged hands.

And a polka dot spotted floor.  :(

It's definitely not in the fridge.....But I haven't looked down the back of the sofa yet.

I know I put it on a piece of newspaper on top of the boiler, to start with...(it was sodden)...And I'm fairly certain it went from the boiler onto one of the double radiators.
I've taken the work surface off the boiler...and looked all around that, and there's not enough room for it to have fallen down behind the radiator. (I still looked though.)

One of the dogs may have half-inched it, and taken it outside...But I don't think so.

I'll just have to order a new one. :(

Oh, Nobby....So I'm not the only one who's been cursing today.

I put up a coat rack on our newly painted hall wall yesterday. Cheapy thing from TK Maxx. Spent today with the polyfilla... it wasn't able to hold its own weight* so came out of the wall taking some of the plaster with it. At least we've leftover paint.

*I was pretty tired yesterday so entirely possible I may have made a bit of a mess of it...

If its like mine, you would have rinsed it then left it somewhere to dry .... like a radiator or window sill? I've forgotten I'd left it out then subsequently did some vacuuming without it (hope it didn't damage the motor).
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

That's what I did, Davy.....But what on earth did I do with it after that. 8-}

My only other thought was it got dropped into the rubbish bin on an earlier occasion, when I emptied the dogs' hair out of the machine...and I simply didn't notice.
That too seems a tad unlikely as it was a fairly tight fit....Who knows ?
I even looked in the microwave last night, just to make sure I hadn't put in there to finish off drying !

HAH !

No I haven't found the filter.....I just realised the woman on the radio this morning was lying....about the time.
When I heard the time check "At 6 o'clock"...I thought "Poop ".....the clocks must have changed THIS weekend.

I'm an hour in front of what I expected to be, now. ;D ;D ;D.....It wasn't six o'clock..it was blanking five when I got up. X_X

As per recently...Cardigan doesn't seem to be anything like as awful (shopping wise) as some of you lot of you are experiencing.

Did our normal Monday "initial, half weekly shop" for Von.

I got there about 7:30......Car park oodles busier than normal, for that time.....but nothing like completely 'chock full'

Got just about all our normal basics for a Monday, with a few unimportant exceptions.
No skimmed milk, at all.......Had to get semi skimmed.....Meat isle.....Almost nothing there....(Literally, not a sausage  ;D ;D)....So the dogs may have to miss out on their weekend treat....Our normal weekend snack of bacon butties. ?....Had to buy some 'posh' bacon today....(Damn the torpedoes !)

The booze aisle......BLIMEY.....Oh, of course, pubs shut....everyone stocking up.

Worst of all....They didn't have any of the big, single, bags of Twiglets......I may not survive.   :'( :'(

Lass that was on the till, told me there were queues outside the store at six, this morning.  :o...and she'd been on the 'late till shift' on Saturday. "By the time I went home," said she, the shelves were almost all stripped bare.

(There was some loo roll & boxes of paracetomol in stock, when I went in.....Bet that's all gone by now !!) =)

Enough waffling.....Time to push some putty around.

Seriously as you are approaching the age where they are saying you should not go out, perhaps you shoud do one weekly shop while this is going on to limit your exposure.

That's a really kind thought, Mark. :)....Appreciated, my friend.

Von & I are almost self isolated anyway....Usually so far away from the potential.....erm..."twits" (sic)  ;)...that I feel as safe as I could possibly be.
(Short of getting Richard, 'up the road' to come and dig a big hole, with the bucket on the tractor, where I could hide, (under half a ton of soil) I don't think we could do anything else to keep ourselves 'virus free'.)
