Sunny but a bit breezy here. It's a shame Phil can't pop over to Ian's, he could do his weed killing from there out of the wind! :D

But it's a flat calm here !

That's one of the disadvantages of being the best part of 1,000 feet above sea level.....With effectively no cover from the usual wind direction.

Well I am only about 10 miles from Wales...

And roughly 160 miles from Techno Towers.  ;)

It IS a bit of a sod.....Apart from the 'breeze', it's a glorious day here. (For a change !) =)

Cheers - Phil.

Have you forgotten Ian?

There are two types of weather in Wales.

Raining

...and ...

about to rain.

Clearly, it's currently the latter :)

Yep.....It's getting darker already.  ;D ;D

And I've got to go up on the flat roof after din-dins and replace a telecom 'cover' that's come off the wires......Looking at the cover, I can't understand how it ever stayed there. :o
I've got to cut a chunk out of the cover.....and another in the box, so the cover will sit there flush, with the drop wire going through the 'ole. =)

At least the 'cleaning the USB ports' seems to have worked and made the computer a lot happier...It seems to recognise the tablet....and the camera again, now.  :-bd

Hey Ho.

Cheers - Phil.  ;)

Latest game: approach to a siege.

Can the defenders stave off the attackers for long enough to evacuate the peasants and their sheep to the town?
Errr ... yes. They did.

So because I said that 2020 was going to be a year of Napoleonics ... I had a review of my 1944 British.

Crocodiles and Crabs.

Since these photos were taken, I've added the Fireflies, a Churchill ARV to the Churchill squadron, and some Achilles to replace the Archers (which were transferred to the 51st Highland Div).

FSN, very much like your medieval panorama and your peasants protecting the virtue of their sheep (while their daughters presumably greet the invaders with open....arms?)
Have you made progress on your heralds? Mine languish for lack of livery.

"Zounds, sir, you're robbed! For shame, put on your gown.
Your heart is burst, you have lost half your soul.
Even now, now, very now, an old black ram
Is tupping your white ewe. Arise, arise,
Awake the snorting citizens with the bell
Or else the devil will make a grandsire of you.
Arise, I say!" - Bill the Bard Othello

In my defence, I was thinking about priming the next batch.

Let me explain.

I'm in a painting mood at the moment, and try and alternate troop types to keep the interest going and to allow drying time between phases. Currently, I'm painting Wurttemberg Napoleonics and a few top-ups for the British Guards Armoured Division.

I'd just finished the 2nd Bttn, 1st Regt Wurttemberg, and put them on the paint station to spray varnish. However, my mind was on the Sherman ARV and the Crusader OP that would be next up. Assembled and ready to prime.

I picked up the can of varnish and gave it a good shake ... and a spray ...

The Wurttemberg Grenadier company have been wiped out ... or rather re-primed. There are some casualties amongst the other companies too.    :(
