This is a nice battlegroup - based around the BKC20 British Infantry Battalion pack [with a pack of Officers & RTOs added] - and with late war European theatre Brits instead of 8th Army Desert Rats [thanks Leon  8)]

Anyway: assembled, based & textured:

Spray-black undercoated:

 8)  Looking forward to seeing these progress.

I like these Painting Diaires, they're a great way of showing people what the figures look like.

These are nice!  I hope JC likes them, and we maybe get a BatRep with them...  ;) :D

Cool looking battlegroup, but I have a couple of questions/ comments, Nik

1) Are you really now getting commissions from the almighty ?

2) Helmets - I would be going with dark green for late war brits

3) Truck tilts - I think these were a green colour, basically the same as the truck bodies (though I tend to go for a slightly different green shade just for contrast)

4) Micky Mouse cammo - this was pretty common on softskins in NWE, it also looks cool - basically lots of overlapping black circles, but only on softskins.

5) White stars - these always look good on the top surfaces

Anyway, please take the above as constructive criticisms - in the time you have paint this lot I have managed to paint 3 warmaster stands of skirmishers (about 20 figures!)

2) I'll need to check that then...

3) From my references I've seen enough in both khaki & green - and they look *boring* in green if you ask me...

4) I'll need to check that then...again, I've seen both with & without - don't particularly like it myself...

5) I'll see if I can dig some out...

No worries mate - thanks for this - and especially for waiting until I'd posted pics of them "almost finished" (& there was me thinking I'd finished these)...

Did you want a Christmas card this year then?  :P ;) ;D  :d

Anyway, I've emailed JC asking him what he'd like me to do...

They look really sweet to me.  Nice work!

Nice job Nic, but no tac signs ?

Also - on soft skins gthe entire vehicle was painted same colour, often with the mickey mouse ear cammo. - But I do as you do and paint the canvas a different colour.
