Well it isn't really is it?  Sticks don't move unless you choose to move them, nor are they capable of hiding in the murky depths, painting sticks (certainly my painting sticks) are twice as big as a minnow, and I can get a lot closer to them that if they were cast into a mill pond. Woudn't it be more accurate to say it's a bit like counting trout at the fishmongers?
