Let's talk about me.

I have been cogitating - which although illegal in some of the Southern US states, is still presently allowed in the UK - upon my recent productivity. Granted being on holiday did allow me to devote enormous chunks of time to the hobby, but even so, I maintained my mojo for a fortnight - which is remarkable for a man my age. My ruminations led me to the conclusion that it was by mixing my projects that I was able to sustain the work rate. I mixed ancients with WWII naval, with aircraft and Traveller minaitures 1:3000, 1:600, 10mm and 25mm. 

Admittedly, working of 4 projects does mean that each one will take 4 times as long; but if I'm painting 5 times as fast (OK I'm not).

Anyone else work in mixed media this way? Am I confusing the joy of being out the office with the love of the hobby?

Yes, this is a desperate effort not to think about Techno's chest.

While still enjoying our vacation travel I do need to break surface and say that while cogitation may APPEAR to be unlawful it is only because we substitute rumination (as we are more closely - although not intimately - associated with the world of creatures - much like rural Wales).

Your reference to Techno's chest - which I took to be some box of goodies - caused me to catch up on this tread - thanks - I needed those images! ( this is of course sarcasm  - which my father told me never to indulge in - or, so Kitty is propitiated - in which my father told me never to indulge).

As to multitasking - yes - I have some sticks full of figures that I put a bit more color on every now and then - I don't know how many sticks - it is like counting minnows in a mill pond.

Well it isn't really is it?  :P Sticks don't move unless you choose to move them, nor are they capable of hiding in the murky depths, painting sticks (certainly my painting sticks) are twice as big as a minnow, and I can get a lot closer to them that if they were cast into a mill pond. Woudn't it be more accurate to say it's a bit like counting trout at the fishmongers?
