Did have one strange effect - civil servants were working on a Sunday. Just meant that things got screwed up even more than normal. The name of DWP should be changed to "The General Assistance Department" !!!!   

As you will probably know, Jim, it's snowing again (certainly is, here in the West of Scotland). Still, it's only Tuesday - plenty of time for it to clear up for your journey to Dumfries on Saturday. Great to read on your blog that the Consultant says you're clear of cancer now.

To be fair all the problems were sorted asap.

Including our outside plastic/nylon tap......

Though we managed to b*gger a little piece up when bits fell out of the replacement....I think we've put a rubber washer back in the wrong place, so it leaks slightly on the side we're not really interested in.....Hopefully easily fixed when we can be bothered.
The main thing is, that we've got water back to the barn without a geyser blowing out of the broken tap.

And today it's bloody SNOWING again - forecast - light snow over welsh and scottish hills !

Formby, Merseyside, sea level and twenty miles beyond the yellow warning area in the foothills of the Pennines. Woke up to a thick covering of snow on everything, including tree branches, washing line etc., with thick flakes pouring down. At the same time Carol Kirkwood on the telly is saying that my area may see some snow at higher levels but generally it will be dry with sunny intervals. 

Just a fairly strong, cold, wind here.

My 'bun run' early this morning showed that Tesco's was still having delivery problems.

And yet here in Liverpool city centre I am blinded by the sun.

And now in Southport, the fairly heavy snow we had first thing , like Leman a couple of miles down the road, has now entirely gone, and the roads are almost dry.

We had another layer this morning, just when I thought it had gone for good!  It's mostly melted already thankfully, but they've closed the A66 again over the Pennines.
