With wrist still not good enough, I've been totting up my purchases since I relaunched wargaming in 2013. I buy 10mm from Pendraken, 1:600 aircraft from Tumbling Dice and 1:600 ships from Heroics and Ros. I think I have about 7500 Pendraken figures, 600 Pendraken Vehicles, 600 aircraft and 48 ships. This excludes forces that I've started buying, but haven't finished buying (those marked SB) - as I son't start painting until I've bought everything. The bit that worries me is that only about 40% is painted and based!  

In 2017 I shall be disciplined! I shall paint lots! I feel a Napoleonic enthusiasm coming on, but I need to get my technique right. I've got some Prussians on order so I'll use them as a test bed. Also got some Korean War  a/c on the paint table. And some T35s. Perhaps I need to be more disciplined and finish off ranges before starting new ones.

'tis true. I've never been a big fan of the 18th Century putting all my energies into 1812-1815. The early days of gunpowder are a bit too ... twinkly for my taste. I also don't have a big interest in the C19 - except for the ACW which I like for its simplicity. I am though, a butterfly. I know I could get interested in the English Civil War and I'd love to do a Chocolate Box late C19 with scarlet clad Brits, white clad Austrians and Prussians in spikey helmets.

I can also see me doing Korean War, Indo-China War, Viet Nam War, Yom Kippur, and India-Pakistan (that's a new one for me). With the lovely new Imperial Rome sculpts, I'm also looking for a suitable foe before I dive into that.

My plan for 2017 is Napoleonics and Korean War. What will probably happen is that I will get really enthusiastic about Samurai or triremes or (and the Tumbling Dice thread tempts me) Napoleonic sail. Or something else.

Since we both re-entered the hobby at about the same time I know that characteristic well. So little time it seems to catch up on so much.

That's sorted then. (Though I still have to keep monitoring it.....B*gger....I was going to stop taking one of the pills so my leg goes back to its normal skinny size.....Without telling them)

Phone call later from the Doc's......"Will you come down for another blood test" ..(GROAN !!  )....All the 'bloods' from last time are fine......Except you're somewhat anaemic.
(I mean...what do they expect... with all the samples they keep taking out of my puny frame.......I've not got limitless blood they can keep nicking.)

So....Doc's today.....Doc's tomorrow.....Hospital on Friday for the CT scan.
I don't know how I'm getting any work done, at all, at the moment.

I have to admit........I've been thinking of taking some green stuff, dental tools and the optivisor down to the surgery.

Though I'd have to praise our local surgery, as they never seem to be running TOO late.
I was due to see the nurse at 10, this morning.....arrived at 5 minutes to 10.....saw 'Jen' at 10:01 and was out by ten minutes past.
