I've done the dry brushing :)

I am still trying to work out what the large round item on the side of about half the pack camels is :-\

Polite suggestions welcome ;)

Sandinista

Perhaps a stone for grinding grain or sharpening blades?

OOOOOOOO.......I know...I know.

It's a piece of green stuff that hadn't cured, and flattened out into a circular shape when in went into the mould.

(Still haven't got a clue.)

A wok?

It is slightly convex

I was wondering if it was a large cooking pan to go on a fire, a bit like a shallow paella pan.  I vaguely recall seeing something similar used to cook bread :-\

Fortunately it is one of the last things to paint so I have time to ponder

Just been to look on the pack camels that I've painted - and they are different, with a different load out with a small box on the top. I think mine were from the Sudan range.

It could be a covered shield, or a cooking thing, pan or stone.

These look a possibility. The handles would fold under the pan to give the shape shown. No idea if they would be just the cast iron item hung on the side or if it would have a cover of some sort.

As I admitted at the start of this thread they are from another manufacturer :-[

That is the sort of thing I was thinking of Ithoriel

So dark steel dry brushed with black "soot" is looking a good option :-\

Yeah, those cooking pan Ithoriel put up look right. But perhaps they are simply primitive satellite dishes for burst transmissions to command or maybe for watching reruns of "Waiting for God".

I checked with Leon before starting this thread, that is why it's in the Non-Pendraken section ;)
As always Leon was a gentleman about it :)

They do indeed all look alike to us ;D
