I got excited earlier today. Reception at work sent me an email saying a package had arrived for me

I popped down and there was a package from the 'other supplier'

To reduce postage costs I had Amazon UK send my copy of DBA 3.0 to the 'other supplier' to forward to me. The 'other supplier' had forwarded it to me by International Priority mail without track and trace. The actual figures were sent with track and trace. Both were sent at the same time at the same post office.

As you have probably guessed the package that has arrived is my copy of DBA 3.0 while the figures, sent via the more expensive track and trace, stil languish in Beijing

And now Royal Mail's track and trace page has been down for two days

Still hasn't arrived in NZ as the NZPost track and trace page has no info on the tracking number

I can get at that OK.

Good news - Royal Mail track & trace page is back up again 

Bad news - my figures are still in Beijing

They have been there over a week

Incidently - a general question - is Peking Duck now properly called Beijing Duck and does it remain in column A?

Both the RoyalMail and NZPost websites are claiming my parcel was delivered to my work at 12:11 on Friday

No email from reception advising the parcel has arrived

A quick call to the NZPost contact centre confirmed that it has been delivered, but with the interesting logic postal companies seem to specialise in, not to the actual office specified on the address but to the companies Post Office Box. This is actually a large red sack that will be delivered to my actual office (by NZPost) on Monday

So hopefully some time on Monday the figures will arrive in the mail room at work

I managed to last about 3 hours before I carefully cut the tape and opened the box to have a look

Sorted through the order last night, a couple of figures missing

Fortunately from two different packs both for units that will be based 8 figures per base, so hiding the missing figures will not be too hard 

Five extra figures, fortunately all in one pack that will be based 5 per base

Pierre the Shy's figures are all present and correct, he added a few WWI Belgians to my order to save on postage

Spent over four hours sorting all the figures into the different troop types in each army

I need to finish my 1917 project so I can start painting these
