Wife and I are major fans of Ice Road Truckers. I picture Darrell trying to fix what ever went wrong with plane as it went down. He never seemed to be defeated by any situation. Sad loss  :(

And Gene Wilder - provided many many laughs. Young Frankenstein, one of my favorite movies ever.

So sad about Gene Wilder. 2016 is robbing us of the greats. 😕

The Producers, Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein simply superb films. a sad loss but a great legacy.

I (and this may be an unpopular opinion nowadays) really liked his Willie Wonka. (That sounds bad, dosn't it?)

Loved "the Producers", "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstein".

Can't remember who, but someone said that Wilder was the master of the silence.

Yes it does sound bad, but I agree with you.

I'm not going there !

Bet it's the 'Oompa Loompa' song, and I'm not having that buzzing 'round my brain all afternoon.

I cannot listen to 'Putting On The Ritz' without 'singing' the Monster's part...ever. A brilliant skit from a brilliant film and a brilliant follow on from Blazing Saddles. I can happily watch anything with Gene Wilder in but these two films are right up there amongst my all time favourites.

I owe you a debt of gratitude - doing this finally unstuck the Oompa Loompa interations from my head! Thanks!

I love his 'Enjoy Yourself' song and Ska in general. A sad loss but what a musical legacy.

I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.
