I didn't make myself clear. It's a steel frying pan which got covered in carbonised korma a while ago. But your concern is appreciated!

In that case....If you can stand the rather noxious pong.....Or if you've got a super duper extractor.....Give it a whirl.
Might need a  good couple of 'vinegar boils' though.

It'll smell far worse than a 'chippy' I'm afraid.  ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D

Cheers - Phil

It worked. Thank you for the tip. I shall serve leeks as a side dish tomorrow in your honour.

I think I may approach the BBC with an idea for a series on kitchen disasters...and how to cope with them.  ;)
Make a change from cooking programs. (Which bore me to tears, but Mrs T enjoys.)
Cheers - Phil  ;)

PS....How does the kitchen smell now ?...I think it was at least 48 hours before ours stopped smelling like a chip shop.

We have several extractor fans, since there are no windows in that part of the house (ridiculous, I know). Kitchen smells mildly acidic, but no problem.
