Those embroidered tunics in 6mm - takes a brave heart and a steady hand! I'm working on the feudal noble cavalry now.

Not inconceivable that the Persian nobility will be completed today. But that's about it for this year; I shall resume the classical project when I return from Italy in January.

Finally based the main infantry units for one of my AWI/ Imagi-Nations forces. I think command stands next, followed by cavalry and artillery. Then the small matter of having to paint them all...

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Been busily painting away, three units finished, then sanded/pva'd yesterday and inked bases tonight.
Have just started 8 stands of Winged Hussars, base coated and inked horses and armour tonight. Interesting colours next, one unit will be red, the other pale blue to match the current theme of the army! :)

'Broken the back', as far as the Dragon riders......(and some other plain dragons)....go, for their revamp.

Squeaky bum time is over, as I got the riders off the dragons I was using as 'formers', so the riders can be cast separately.

They didn't break ! (Apart from one, which was easy to repair).......BIG Phew !!
Broke one tail off one of the longer dragons......Another easy repair.

Desk is covered in white metal, where I've been reaming away with the Dremmel......I also appear to have silver coloured dandruff........AGAIN !
There are also lots of removed dragon wings in a heap.

Now putting the new wings on some of the dragons.

Cheers - Phil

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Please can we have longer dragons, with more body, the present one is mere whelp! ;)

If you mean the one with 'albatross'' wings, Will....I've made the wings much bigger. (And more dragony/batlike.)
I'll almost certainly have to re-do the back legs.....AND.....if there's room (with where the rider sits) I'll give them front legs too !

Tails ?.....Yeah......Think I'll have to do something to those too.....At least those will be a piece of widdle....The wings were horrible to do. X_X
(And made out of aluminium sheeting from a can of 'Stella'..... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D)

Made a good start on some Juraped riders, both mounted and dismounted, for KR-16. Will finish tomorrow as the bulk of the painting is done. Nice to have got the brushes etc out and hope to maintain the focus this year!

Thanks Paul :). Riders all finished bar the varnishing and some flock for the bases. Just waiting for the paint to dry properly so this will get done this afternoon/evening.

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Many many bases dry brushed and edged, plus Winged Hussar horses highlighted, wings highlighted and armour too.
Back to work tomorrow, let the insomnia and bad dreams begin!  8) :o ;D
