They are pretty impressive (and well painted too). Interesting to see they are starting an ancients range, I will resist as I have loads of Romans in 10mm (Pendraken) but a part of me still thinks, well maybe just a DBA sized force???

Bronze work on 22 stands of samurai done.
Then I carried on the bronze then and did a Hatamoto guard unit to match my guinea pig general!

Last samurai unit done, just need to varnish and base those three units, assembled the last ashugari too.
Not going to get these done to my satisfaction before Warfare, so it will be Mapuche again! :D 8)

Samurai varnished, final ashugaru unit undercoated.
Got bored with samurai so took a night off and painted a warband general for the undead and a stand of mammoths that have been sitting around since September half finished!

Twenty-two bases inked.
Also finally highlighted and flesh based/washed two units of Polish Renaissance pike and shot that I assembled and base coated during the summer holidays, that had been mothballed during the Mongol and Samurai projects. Glad to get them on the go again, regular infantry, yay!

Having played some BKCII with Neil on Friday, I have been inspired to try and finish off those outstanding units that I've been meaning to do for ages. I did get a suprise at how much stuff I bought for the AVBCW that is still bagged up, some of which I had forgotten about :o!

Trubia Naval painted up ready for Wednesdays game. Doubtless it will die a horrible death, but that's the norm for new toys on the table. Also based up a Recce/FAO unit plus primed some trucks etc to tow my ATG units.

Duke Speedy of Leighton

After a week without picking up the brush (mostly been asleep by 9), the mojo hath returned tonight!
Three Milan stands, four snipers, a command team, 3 stands of blowpipe missiles and Barrie assembled, base coated and inked. Two stands of Warband zombies and a necromancer stand have had their flesh dry brushed and their clothing base coated and inked. A stand of wraiths and ghosts are also finished apart from basing.
And...
On the subject of basing; two Polish Renaissance pike & shot units, my mammoth for my Warband barbarians and many stands of skeletons, undead cavalry, undead archers and artillery also for Warband, also finally got inked!
There is another box in the garage that needs the same treatment, but I couldn't be asked to go and fetch tonight! ;)
Yup, I'm back in the groove! 8)
