There are rumours that Forgeworld will be looking after them so God knows what the prices will be like if any of it is true
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Techno

I doubt very much if the 'master moulds' still exist.

Any decision like this is going to have been driven by falling sales figures. I know from personal experience that independent retailers have been selling less. Whether that's because parents finally had enough of the rising prices or today's kids have finally moved on to something else, I'm not certain, but it was definitely happening.

Finding a way to attract older fans, those with their own disposable income makes sense, Whether they can pull it off is another thing.

If it's ForgeWorld looking after these then I wouldn't expect to see WM or Epic returning anytime soon.  The lower profits in smaller scales combined with added costs/hassle of producing everything in resin wouldn't add up for the moneymen in the boardroom.
www.pendraken.co.uk - Now home to over 10,000 products, including nearly 5000 items for 10mm wargaming, plus MDF bases, Battlescale buildings, I-94 decals, Litko Gaming Aids, Militia Miniatures, Raiden Miniatures 1/285th aircraft, Red Vectors MDF products, Vallejo paints, Tiny Tin Troops flags and much, much more!

Orcs

Had n't the warmaster stuff risen to £16 a unit just before its demise.

Oh no I should have not mentioned that Leon's Eyes have glazed over after he suddendly realised that if he converted Pendraken sales to GW prices he could afford that Ferrari.

Ah well, still got tons of Epic in the attic so nog shortages for the next century I guess. Fir Warmaster we have our suppliers now :D Also not a very smart move of GW; first let everybody find a new and much cheaper supplier for thier gamers needs and then try to get them back to the overpriced stuff... we'll see!

What is "pronography"? Images of people lying on their tummies?

Someone's let the cat out of the bag again - switch your spellcheckers on please gents.

Just tried my spell checker. It is working fine. It's still choosing the completely wrong words when it's meant to
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Ace of Spades

Typing English on a Dutch computer (No, I don't mean it was made in the Netherlands, it's the settings I refer to!) means the spell checker doesn't always work.... In this message for example it underlines the words 'don't', 'mean', 'it's' etc. So even even if I could be bothered it wouldn't do much good... (oh, apparently 'good' is not spelled correctly either!).
So I just switched the pc to 'whatever' and that seems to work just fine! For me that is... :D ;)

Cheers,
Rob (hey, the spell checker does accept my name!)

Not quite the same but I do use Google translate when on the Dutch wargaming fb page.I have even thought about using it to list in Dutch but I would be afraid of starting some of international incident by mistake

Hahaha, we'll be sailing up the Medway again before you know it! ;)
Even so; the faults that occur are just mistakes/typos so I don't really mind. Actually found the description for 'pronography' very creative! ;D

Maybe they were using it when the Dutch swapped the Island of Run for New Amsterdam. Maybe they thought they were getting something else instead

Actually the forgeworld stuff for epic was (and still is) quite popular with the epic community, especially the titans and flyers.

Ithoriel

More interested in Onslaught for Epic than FW myself. Delighted to see they have a UK distributor now.

Really, really want a pack or three of the Mercenary wolves once they are released. Though in that case it's for use with my 6mm Sumerians! There's currently a sad lack of wolves and sheep dogs in 6mm!

Now, just a couple of 6mm cheetah figures to find and I'm all set :)

The onslaught stuff is nice but I like the defeat in detail range as well and some of them lok suspiciously like marines  and Imperial guard

Yes, very convenient that Vanguard are UK suppliers of both, too.

That would be nice, right enough. All the 6mm sci-fi ranges I'm interested in in one place!

Would be nice. I know Microworld are looking for someone in the UK to sell their range
