Fred, those Zweihanders cool models!  (Your painting is excellent also!)  Do you know if the company only has three different types of models?  That's all I could find on their website.  Regardless, these models look like gold for building a post-GW empire army.

Also the Birdmen are brilliant, it makes me happy to see the Old World alive and well somewhere.

Thank you - very kind. I'm finding my painting is helped massively by the sculpts these days.

Yep, they only have  a few unit types so far, they have just completed a Kickstarter to add Crossbowmen too. And they are steadily adding new figures, they've only been going about 18 months at most.

They were a fun conversion a few years ago, but dead simple using the Pegasus wings from Pendraken.

Zweihanders

More detailing - but seeing them blown up on the photo, shows there is a fair bit more to do still

How do those zweihanders rank up?  It looks like most of them will be stabbing the guy in front of them. Also I love the colors. Are you doing are particular Empire province or just doing your own thing?

3AcresAndATau

Those are some nice looking zweihanders.  Did you highlight the blades, or do the edges just take thinner coats there?

Looks like Middenheim or Sweden Nordland to me.

They rank up fairly well, a couple of pages back there is a based up unit, s lot of the swords are at just enough of an angle that they fit together fairly well.

The blades on these ones have just had a dry brush of oily steel, I will give them a silver highlight, but that hasn't happened yet, I think it will just be the light picking out the edges at the minute.

As to colour schemes it's all made up. I've never really been in to the detail of the WHFB background, so I take the superficial bits I like and use historical stuff as well. My colours could be Swiss Cantons just as easily as Empire States. My troops are building in 4 main colour schemes, blue, red, or green, all with white and some light yellow. And black & yellow, the latter coming from the Holy Roman Empire colours. Most of the games we play need some method of identifying brigades of troops so having units in a few different colours helps. Also I found I got bored very quickly doing lots of units in the same colour.

There are a lot of photos of my Empire troops here http://www.kerynne.com/games/WMEmpire.html although these are a bit out of date and there is more stuff since then.

Ha!  That collection is yours?  That's great, I actually found it awhile ago and have been enviously looking at it for inspiration for the past few months!  It is massive and beautiful.  I can only imagine how much that collection is worth now.  Quite impressive.

Thanks. Yep, all mine!! It's been put together over a good few years now, and pretty much all the GW WM stuff was bought on eBay, at well below the GW prices.  Yes,  I do dread to think what the current value would be. Even at £10 a unit and a bit more for the rares it's close to £500 in the main Empire photo, and there is a fair bit more since that photo. And a fair bit still in blisters. Then the elves, and Araby, and orcs.

But they are toys to be played with, and get a lot of table time, which is the key thing.

The anonymity of the Internet is funny, you having seen my figures, but having no way of connecting  them with my posts hear, is one minor thing. But one of my regular gaming group, saw photos of my WM stuff on a post on another forum, and sent me an email hoping that he had found another WM player!! He was a bit disappointed to discover it was just me, under a different name!!

That's great!  I guess you are an anonymous celebrity in the Warmaster world!  Now if you could just get a sponsorship deal.

Glad you are putting them to good use!  I am quite sad I didn't get into Warmaster earlier, I scan eBay regularly now, but I promised myself I would never spend more than $10 a blister, and I still have yet to get a single pack.  I do have about a 3,000 to 4,000 point Warhammer Empire army I slowly collected through eBay and such, but for the money I put into that I could probably have a pretty huge warmaster army.  Sadly I just never knew anyone who played Warmaster, so I never even considered it until the Warhammer world was killed.  Now I realize it was the game my group and I should have been playing the whole time!  (And yes, I will try Warbands at some point, but I'm still excited about discovering Warmaster right now)

Also what is this sweepstakes business?
