Duke Speedy of Leighton

May I recommend a slightly more revisionist version:

Keith Stringer took one of the Medieval history units when I was at Lancaster in the 90s. I disagreed with him on several occasions and thought he hated me. However, because I could justify my opinions, he gave me my first ever first for an essay! After that things got a lot easier!

Interesting. I'll have a look at that.

I've also got the Jim Bradbury's "Stephen and Matilda: The Civil War of 1139-53" on my kindle ready to go.

So ... whilst reading the Stephen book and getting very excited about early civil war in England, the jolly postman arrived.

"Ding dong" says he.
"I've already opened the door." Replied I. "The ding dong is now redundant." I felt slightly saddened by the crestfallen face on the little chap, but knew batter than to encourage him.
"Have you got a parcel for me or have the Fates just decided to blight my Saturday morning?" I asked.
"Parcel,  Mr FSN." He said, brightly.
"Excellent!" I took the proffered package and slammed the door in his face. I'm sure I heard a sob, but closed my ears to his whimpering.

The package contained a box, which contained not one but two MiG 15's by Eduard. These are to be part of my 1960s desert do. I also received some Pendraken camels and assorted Arabic types, so we're back there.

I've also remembered how much I detest making plastic aeroplane kits. I can't even leave the wheels up on he MiGs as I want them for an airport scenario. I've also got a Vickers Vanguard and a Bopeing 707 on the way.

As per everyone's instructions, I've tried using Google to find out more information about a "Bopeing 707".

Still none the wiser.  ;)
Can't see why you all rave about this Google thingy !
