I had to read your post twice as I initially read "Pink Bosoms" instead of "Pink Blossoms"  :D

I think this has more to do with the fact that I am on the second of 10 consecutive  12 hour night shifts and I am unlikely to see a "Pink Bosum" for nearly a fortnight  :)

;D  Didn't think of the chaos theory.  =D>

[When I read the title, "Butterfly fsn?" I thought, "That's a bit extreme. Has Techno finally lost it with Nobby!"   X_X ]

I, too, visualised some grim version of the Norse bloodeagle when I saw this topic heading.  :o

And Orcs, you have my deepest sympathy. Reminds me of my days on Heathrow - the only time I've ever fallen asleep on my feet.  (:| I-)

Which Stephen book was it?

Probably something to do with a post-apocalyptic society. Or an old haunted hotel up in the mountains or some such.
Water is indeed the essential ingredient of life, because without water you can't make coffee!

I am finally getting ruthless with myself. Since I sorted out Narnia I made a promise to myself to never have more two ongoing periods worth of figures on the painting table. At the moment I have the last few 6mm Samurai to finish and the 6mm Western Desert infantry are undercoated and ready to go. Apart from that it is completely clear. Harsh but it works for me.

#Herts, I worked at Heathrow as a contract computer operator back in about 1975 or 76 decoding the black boxes (which at that time were dayglo orange, very heavy and could only record up to 6 different attributes). It was a single wire, similar to fuse wire, on a spool that transferred the information onto specially treated graph paper. Stuck it for about 6 weeks.

Which Stephen book was it?

"King Stephen" by RHC Davis, 3rd Edition, Longman, Harlow, 1966 (1992).

It's a second hand book! Who'd have thunk?

Very readable though - except there were only six names to go round at that time, which makes it slightly confusing.

Keith Stringer took one of the Medieval history units when I was at Lancaster in the 90s. I disagreed with him on several occasions and thought he hated me. However, because I could justify my opinions, he gave me my first ever first for an essay! After that things got a lot easier!

Interesting. I'll have a look at that.

I've also got the Jim Bradbury's "Stephen and Matilda: The Civil War of 1139-53" on my kindle ready to go.

So ... whilst reading the Stephen book and getting very excited about early civil war in England, the jolly postman arrived.

"Ding dong" says he.
"I've already opened the door." Replied I. "The ding dong is now redundant." I felt slightly saddened by the crestfallen face on the little chap, but knew batter than to encourage him.
"Have you got a parcel for me or have the Fates just decided to blight my Saturday morning?" I asked.
"Parcel,  Mr FSN." He said, brightly.
"Excellent!" I took the proffered package and slammed the door in his face. I'm sure I heard a sob, but closed my ears to his whimpering.

The package contained a box, which contained not one but two MiG 15's by Eduard. These are to be part of my 1960s desert do. I also received some Pendraken camels and assorted Arabic types, so we're back there.

I've also remembered how much I detest making plastic aeroplane kits. I can't even leave the wheels up on he MiGs as I want them for an airport scenario. I've also got a Vickers Vanguard and a Bopeing 707 on the way.

As per everyone's instructions, I've tried using Google to find out more information about a "Bopeing 707".

Still none the wiser.  ;)
Can't see why you all rave about this Google thingy !
