That's the equivalent of adding two more miles to the end of a marathon!  :o
Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

More like 8 miles, comparing the numbers of figures I've painted :o :o

Four solid hours has seen the 20 figures washed and the fortunately limited flash cleaned up  :)

I have even managed to glue on the 8 arms and 8 heads (5 different sculpts :o) :) :)
Blue tack and five minute araldite  ;) :)

Fortunately I am working from home tomorrow and the forecast is good so should be able to get them primed and base coated (both sprays) during breaks :!! :!!

This cartoon was in the Auckland paper today ;D ;D

I'm pleasantly surprised with the historical accuracy :)

8 heads on 5 sculpts - you breed 'em strange in NZ!
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Some haven't painted as many as was hoped, some for very good reasons, others  :-\

A thought that occurred to me at about 6:45am Sunday as I was starting to get into my painting rhythm...

At least I'm not standing to in a cold wet trench and no Mehmet is trying to kill me, compared to the troops we are remembering I've got it easy

Agreed,  quite a sobering thought.  :(

As for those who committed and didn't deliver,  if there are genuine reasons that's one thing,  otherwise: poor show!

Brilliant cartoon!

Good on you Paul, a little bit of your time to remember so many who fought and died on both sides in a pointless attack.

Weather has cooperated wonderfully today, calm 22 degrees Sorry Phil ;)

It has let me prime and base coat my 20 new Kiwi casualties  :)

I've also managed to varnish and take some pictures of the last batch, including the 10 'extra' Turks
They are wrapped up and will travel in to work with me before being dropped off with one of the organisers

Now food, then back to painting  :!! :!! :!!

No pressure at all then really?  :o

Don't even know how you're finding time to post on here but then the paint has to dry I suppose. :D

Indeed the paint has to dry although with 20 figures on the go now the first figure is almost dry by the time I have done the last ;)

Made good progress last night; shirts, pants and flesh done. Did half the puttees this morning before work, the other half will be a different colour to add to variety

The train trip to and from work today will give me a chance to catch up with the forum a bit :)
