What do you hate painting?

I'm currently battling with several projects; many of which are close to completion apart from........... Bases!!!

I hate basing.  Love the finished article but the process is interminable  >:(

So, what's your painting hate?  Could be a unit, might be an item ; whatever.

What's yours and why?

Yeah,  having moved into WW2,  I'm now realising some of the difficulties painting straight things and round things.

As in bridles etc?

I hate trying to keep my "blackline" whilst painting tack.

Toy soldiers!

Something of a disadvantage for a wargamer, I feel.

I love the end result, the process ... not so much.

Never quite seem to translate what's in my head to what ends up in my hands  >:(

Otherwise it's trying to use those horrible decals that you stick in water  aaaargh!

I hate painting irregular infantry....

Well, actually I hate the idea of the irregular infantry, I enjoy all painting.

Except edging in on 1:1 scale redecorating!

I dont like painting Irregular troops, as I mentioned on the 6mm thread. I hate trying to make them look irregular. Dont like basing either
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

I hate never having TIME to paint anything,  :'( :'( :'(
And I really want to get the paints out, again.
