fred.

That's my tank!

Unfortunately it was painted so long ago I am struggling to remember the colour.

It was probably Tamiya or maybe GW desert yellow. In either case washed with brown ink.

I now use vallejo middlestone

Don't know how it is called these days, can't find the paint compatability chart now, as i'm at work

dont know if u can help me but i saw some pics of us tanks with red and yellow decals on the front (very small one). but i cant find them on pendraken's website. do you know where to find it?

fred.

Again they are British tanks. U.S. tanks tend to only have white markings - usually a few stars and the odd small number. British tanks were much more colourful, with the divisional and regimental markings on the front of the tank. And coloured geometric shaped on the turret for troops. The decals are from Scale Specialties. They do a very nice sheet for a british armoured dvision.

My tanks ( in the background of the Pendraken home page ) were painted a while ago - I think with Tamiya. I tend to use Vallejo Russian uniform now, which is a bit greyer than the quite bright green I used previously.

Also the tank you first linked to isn't a desert one. The Germans moved to dark yellow as a general basecoat from 1943.
