Nice work, Paul, and so quick!
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Over 10,000 views  :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

I'm dropping off the last batch to Peter tomorrow night at a WWII Western Desert game, Airfix figures and various similarly scaled plastic kits, home grown rules, lots of fun  ;) :) :D

I'm also picking up a few extras from our last order to fill out Peter's forces ready for a Nery refight next year. I will add progress on them here ;)

I now have Peter's extras for this project:
- BP29 Infantry in cap, backpack - to top up the British Infantry Battalions to full strength
- BW10 British maxim gun cart with horses and crew - as MG carts for his British Cavalry
- BP10 Limbers with early war team  - as limbered versions of the MG carts

I have a couple of questions on the Limbers, they come with a bare pole.

- How do people attach the limber pole to the team?
- Does anyone add traces or other tack?

The horses that pull it come with tack. Position them side be side, glue the poll betwixt the two. No one ever spots it. Honest.

Interesting idea about using BW10 for cavalry MGS - do you have a photo?

Have a look in this thread - http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,10102.0.html

I'm using them with my mounted cavalry units for mainly visual purposes. The MG's tended to be dismounted on to standard tripods if time permitted so I have got ordinary maxim/vickers stands for the dismounted cavalry units,

Ta, they look good, it's to give the right look with the cavalry when moving. These look like they would  fit the bill.

Started this project back in June with the ultimate aim of re-fighting the actions at Nery and Elouges.

Since then we had several very good games using various units as Paul has completed them but I now have all the units required for Nery.  8)

We're looking at playing the game at the next local convention in January 2015.

Elouges will follow later once Paul has kindly painted up my 1914 extras.

Then I'll leave him in peace to do his 1917 stuff  :o

Looking forward to the AARs on those two battles.

Sorted and started cleaning up Peter's extras last night.

There is more than enough infantry to top up the two weak British battalions to full strength  :)

Adding in the left over figures from the main project there are enough infantry figures to give Peter a fourth (12 stand) battalion.  :)

If I dragoon in the 8 spare dismounted cavalry figures it can be reinforced to the full 16 stands  ;)

Finished cleaning the rest of the figures and worked out how the Maxim carriages and crew go together :-\
