I always find the flags easier to bend and shape if you paint over them first, I think it ties them in with the unit better as well
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Hey Phil, is that for me?  The background?
I did that myself.  I created an image through some free piece of editing software I have, and then printed it out on the color printer at work.  I may still have the file if you want me to send it to you?  If I dont, I can create one easily enough...

It certainly was J.

I used to use that as a background for all sorts of stuff, cos it works so well (Oh alright, it does to my eyes  ;))......Used to buy that as a 'Letraset' A1, A2 (?) sheet from office suppliers...But I guess everyone prints their own off nowadays....(Hah !....Probably for years now.)
I've only got an A4 size printer at home....So I'm not sure whether it would work.

Hey !.... But I know I've got I've got a contact now. ;)
Thanks for the offer....May well take you up on that at some stage.  ;)
Cheers - Phil

For what its worth, what you see in my pics is only on an A4 printer.  The bigger stuff (larger units or whatnot) dont really work on it, but I find I do mostly smaller things anyway!

Here is a link and an image - not sure if you will need the actual file to make it work right.

Wow, thank you guys very much!  Im honored!

I tend to paint in layers, darkest to light - "the Dallimore system" if you will,  But for 10s, I typically skip the mid layer.  So, there is quite a large contrast between the base layer and the top highlight layer.  Also, for ACW Confederates, I used all of my greys and browns until I was sick of seeing greys and browns!  And then, I used more greys and browns!   ;)

Here are my first batch of the 'new' sculpts from Pendraken.  Great little sculpts, as usual.

And, just for posture, here is a comparison pic of new (left) and old (right) sculpts (there could be some Blaze Away minis in there too  :-[).  The old are actually quite a bit bigger, but they will look fine in separate units!!!
