I just realised my camera has been stolen at Carronade.

It must have been between 14:30 and 15:30 in the sportshall where I was at the demotable for 6s2hit. I have the camera's serial number and EXIF and will go to the police tomorrow. If anybody has seen anything please PM me. All info will be handled conficentially.

Maybe the person who took my camera will be so kind to return it on or the other way? No questions asked.

If not I am afraid I will have the polic handle the investigation including review of the CCTV tapes.

Wow, sorry to hear that, not very often this kind of thing happens at a show.  It hasn't been accidentally packed into a box of stuff from the demo game has it?  We've often put things in boxes and then found them when we go to unpack again at the next show.

Have contacted everybody and so far nothing. In conclusion I can only think it was taken from that very demo table :(

Edit: Well...older than 4 years camera without any lead or whatsoever. Not a very successful thief I daresay. IF the police does their job it should be fairly easy to trace but at that value of the good(s) I do not hold my hopes high.

Should anyone ever upload a picture taken with that camera, presto. But that is also a long shot.

@Leon: Gamers are usually very honest. I left my laptop unattended at the LGS and nothing happened ever.

@Techno: If the culprit is caught he should pray the police is faster than me  >:(

Hmmm...there are those it does not do to allow to roll dice unsupervised. But a stolen camera is something different. Good luck.

While I totally support the term "when in Rome..." I also feel that certain other cultures do have a much better way in dealing with thieves.

On a positive sidenote is my initial post and the futility to attempt to run but also that the Carronade organisers are very helpful on this. They are currently checking their lost and found of Carronade and I will know more hopefully tonight.

That's a bummer man, hopefully it turns up and I'm sure the guys at the club are on the case.

Can you pass the details of the type of camera etc on to me. There was one handed in at the front desk which wasn't claimed by the end of the day, someone on the committee took it away with them so I can check with them if it's your camera or not. (If you haven't already been in touch?)

edit.. Scrap that I finally spotted that you have been in touch, not been the best of days today.

How sickening. I have been doing shows for 25years plus. Luckily not lost anything apart from a few dice. But it will certainly make me more conscious of things like cameras

A real downer on an otherwise enjoyable experience. But as has been said before, atypical of wargamers generally.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.
