Progress has resumed on the current batch of 24 artillery crew, 48 infantry, and 6 guns.

Thanks to Kev for his inspiration and advise on the guns.

Painting should be finished today. Wash & basing during the week. Varnishing next weekend.

The labels are created in MS Word and printed on a colour laser printer then PVA'd to the base before troops are based.

Colour coding helps casual players to identify units and work out which brigade they are in. For example the first colour is red for British & blue for Loyalists, the second colour is the brigade and the third is the battalion (unique within the brigade) .

Let me know if you have any questions, Word can be 'interesting' when you trying and do 'clever' things  ;)

Yep, and you come across some pretty casual players from time to time.  :D

During a refight of Borodino one of the 'casual' French players was looking for some troops to assualt the Fleches, spotted some high morale troops and threw them in. About 15 minutes later he realised he had committed the Old Guard  :-[

Thanks All for the congratulations on my promotion  :)

Kev, there are indeed some Indians Native Americans in my lead pile. I'm planning on having one band of Cherokee and another of Catawba.

Read recently of some Cherokee assisting Loyalists to defend a fort in April 1781. Will make an interesting small scale scenario with a bit of a twist  :)

Didn't break but they took a real hammering and were not much use for the rest of the battle.  The Russians managed to retake the Fleches  :)

The fact that they were so rarely used was why the French Line contemptuously dubbed them "the Immortals".
